Caisson Lock vs Falkirk Wheel... Who will be the winner

To be able to make this underground space possible to experience in a boat, i've needed to come up with a solution which includes a lock of some sort.
After spending some time on wiki and google i now have two different locks competing for the title of "The Lock of Locks".
Drum roll please.....
In one corner we have the old, the wise, and every claustrophobic persons nightmare   "The Caisson Lock". In the other other corner we find the young, the bold, and every engineers wet fantasy "The Falkirk Wheel"

The Caisson Lock

I can't explain why, but my heart beats for the 218 year old legend. He was revolutionary at his time, and he is still running strong. Maybe it has to do with his mature age, or his refined and rustic beauty, or maybe, maybe, maybe it has to do with all the good horror movies that could come out of it.

Falkirk Wheel in Scotland

On the other hand, The Falkirk Wheel is a true, young stud, and with his fearless, but still simple design, he can make any spectators knees go week.

Who will be the champion? I do not know... that is up to the judges to decide (aka, the uni's engineers)
